Our Mission

To create safe spaces for children to learn and grow while being surrounded by caring adults.

How We Help

Afterschool Programs

Children in grades kindergarten through sixth receive homework help, fun activities, and a hot meal Tuesday-Thursday from 3:00-6:00 pm.

Summer Camps

From Water Week to Sports Camp, children in grades kindergarten through sixth can participate in five different FREE theme camps with lunch provided.

Hunger Alleviation Solutions

Children enrolled in the Center’s programs receive daily afterschool snacks and hot meals, in addition to weekend snack packs. The Center also has a Community Garden.

Breakfast Buddies

Breakfast Buddies includes story time, ​breakfast, and a craft for younger children ​and their parents every second and fourth ​Monday.

Junior High Programs

On Mondays from 3:00-5:00 pm, youth in grades sixth and up are invited to the Center for Open Gym, large-group games, and dinner.

Community Block Parties

Over the summer and throughout the year, the Center hosts free Community Block Parties open to everyone, including food, games, and more.

When are you open?

We are open Mondays-Thursdays for our programs. For tours or other visits, please reach out to thecentersandusky@gmail.com.

What ages of children do you support?

We have programs for all ages! Our afterschool and summer programs are primarily for children in grades K-6th.

Is the cost of the program free?

Thanks to the support of our generous donors and partners, all of our programs are free!
